St Sebaldus' Church is the city's oldest parish church. Parts of the building date back to the 13th century. After numerous additions, St Sebaldus' reached its final form in 1480. The church houses the tomb of the city's patron saint, St. Sebaldus, a delicately wrought shrine created at the workshop of Peter Vischer in the 16th century.
