Welcome to the Website of the B4 Nuremberg!

The B4 is one of 14 vocational schools under operation of the City of Nuremberg with a total of over 25,000 students every year. The management of the school is in full accordance with the rules and regulations passed and issued by the Free State of Bavaria.
Organization of Vocational Training in Germany
Vocational training in Germany means cooperation between public vocational schools on the one hand and private training companies on the other hand. The student is employed and paid by the training company and simultaneously a part time student at our school (see illustration 1).
Departments of the B4 Nuremberg
Our school is Nuremberg’s Center of Excellence in trade and commerce related industries. Therefore, the B4 is specialized in commercial jobs and is focused on the jobs shown in illustration 2.
In addition the B4 offers qualified vocational training for juveniles without access to regular traineeship. Thanks to our wide network of local companies we have been able to place a large percentage of these students in regular traineeships in the course of the school year.
International atmosphere
The B4 is a truly international school. Students from many different nations work and study at our school. Every year we send students to different exchange programs across Europe. Thanks to the generous funding of European Union the number of students taking part in such programs is growing. Due to our participation in Erasmus+ we have been able to also send teachers to international training programs.
