Power center of the energy industry

The Nuremberg Metropolitan Region with the City of Nuremberg as its economic center is an important site for the energy industry and related technologies and is home to many high-performance businesses. More than 14,000 businesses, most of them in the middle market, employ in excess of 110,000 people and generate revenues of about 27 billion euros per year. The research competences of the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region are bundled at Energie Campus Nürnberg. This model for cooperation between universities and research institutions is unique throughout Germany and brings together fundamental research and practice-oriented F&E along the entire energy chain.
