EU citizens' services
EUROPE DIRECT
EUROPE DIRECT is a free service for citizens and entrepreneurs in the member states of the European Union. EUROPE DIRECT was established by the European Commission in 2002 and provides information about a variety of topics in the context of the EU, including the rights and opportunities of EU citizens.
What do you have to do to get your diploma recognised in another EU country? How can you make sure you get social security in another EU country? What are the rights of flight passengers who have trouble with airlines because their flights were overbooked?
You can ask these and other questions in one of the EU official languages (and Ukrainian and Russian) by telephone. The service is available from Monday to Friday between 9:00 and 18.00 CET via the Freephone number 00800 / 6 7 8 9 10 11. The telephone number is valid in all member states. You can also send questions by e-mail.
EUROPE DIRECT centres
There is an EU information centre (called EUROPE DIRECT) in your city or at least in your region. Currently, around 435 EUROPE DIRECTs in the member states are part of the network.
EUROPE DIRECT Nuremberg
The EUROPE DIRECT Nuremberg is also an EU information centre. It will assist you with questions concerning the European Union:
If you do not live in Middle Franconia and are looking for another EUROPE DIRECT in Bavaria, Germany or the EU, you can find a map of all EUROPE DIRECTs here.
