According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, every person and all organs of society are obliged to promote and protect human rights. Whether it is the state, the private sector or civil society: each agent has different responsibilities in the protection of human rights, but finally strives towards to common goal: providing a safe and stable environment for all people to live in human dignity. Human rights must be the reference point for any entrepreneurial activity, too.

The City of Nuremberg therefore strives to do everything within its authority to promote the protection of human rights and prevent discrimination. At the same time it also strives to give impetus to implementation of human rights in the private sector.
